2. Why we process information
We may process information to respond to inquiries, assess availability, prepare and administer rentals, communicate with customers, process payments, prevent fraud, protect vehicles and users, maintain records, comply with legal obligations and improve our services.
3. Philippine privacy framework
For processing subject to Philippine law, this notice is intended to support the principles of Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its implementing rules and relevant issuances of the National Privacy Commission. We seek to process personal information for legitimate and declared purposes, collect only what is reasonably necessary and apply appropriate organizational, physical and technical safeguards.
4. Sharing of information
Information may be shared when reasonably necessary with vehicle owners/operators, drivers or transport personnel, payment processors, insurers, technology and hosting providers, professional advisers, government authorities, law-enforcement agencies or other service providers involved in fulfilling a rental or legal obligation. We do not state that customer information is sold as a business product.
5. International and cross-border processing
Some website, communications, cloud, payment or support providers may process information outside the Philippines. Where cross-border privacy rules apply, Nine A will use reasonable contractual, technical or organizational safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.
If the GDPR or another foreign privacy law applies to a particular customer or processing activity, additional rights and obligations may apply, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent where legally available.
6. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for booking administration, rental records, customer support, security, accounting, dispute handling and legal requirements. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of record and applicable law.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No website, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion/blocking of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis, request portability where available, or raise a privacy concern. Requests may be submitted through the contact or booking channels on this website.
9. Children
Our rental services are intended for persons legally eligible to enter into the relevant rental arrangement. We do not intentionally request unnecessary personal information from children.
